What a great event at this year’s Airborne Technologies facility. The spacious hangar was the perfect back drop in holding an event of this kind. It also came with conference rooms and all the amenities needed for such large numbers. Thanks to Wolfgang Grumeth (CEO) and Katrin Gruber (Head of Marketing) and their tirelss help in making the event ‘work’. The event was not all smooth sailing. Although the weather was mainly good, there was some heavy downpours and storms that stopped or delayed some of the displays outdoors. These stormy conditions across Europe also made travelling to Weiner Neustadt a problem for some. This did not affect the event. As in previous PAvCons, the timetable is fluid and can be changed to accomodate such problems without losing momentum. Chairman of the event, John Osmond, kept things moving in the conference lounge with the speaker programme schedule and the short exhibitor slots carefully managed. The President, Bryn Elliott, was on hand all the time, watching speakers, talking to exhibitors, welcoming new people to the event (and probably relieved that, once again a great conference and exhibition was achieved).

Right up to the morning of the event there were new registrants signing in, some had travelled from far away with some coming from within the countries surrounding Austria. It is always quality and free with beer on tap at the end of the day! This makes for a friendly atmosphere where the networking really takes place.
